JUNE

THURSDAY 6/28:

A.I. Articificial Intelligence drops tomorrow and I think this is the first movie this summer I have looked forward to seeing. Not because I like Steven Spieberg but I think Haley Joel Osment is good at what he does...

Being the movie junkie, my faithful five readers might want to know what Mel is looking forward to this Summer:

well...

1. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - this will probabky get pushed back til after the summer...mark my words. Snoogans

2. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - even if it sucks, it will be groundbreaking and marvelous to watch

3. America's Sweethearts - Sure, it starts Julia Roberts but also has John Cusack and Billy Crystal

4. Brother - I'll look past the fact Omar Epps is in it

5. Planet of the Apes - no question. Damn filthy apes...

Everything else, i can probably go without...looks like it will be me, she, A/C and DVD this summer.

DVS Update: Guest venom Naz Dak and DVS member, Circe, have shared some venom

FRIDAY 6/22:

this right here is the truth...

-Playstation 2 has set out on an all out mission to bankrupt me. First NBA Street comes out (My BBQ and this game is gonna be nuts), but coupled with that gem, Twisted Metal: Black, Dark Clous, and soon Grand Turismo 3...I can't hang. I should have just bought a Gameboy Advance.

-I think the movie section needs to be redone. what do you think?

-I wonder with relationship Melanism has killed moody Melanism. God I hope so. I didn't like the latter...

I want you to know
He's not coming back
He's bloated and frozen
Still there's no point in letting it go to waste

So knives out
Catch the mouse
Squash his head
Put him in the pot

--radiohead: "knives out"
(yes, I am aware i have quoted them twice)

DVS update: The Linx page has been updated

WEDNESDAY 6/20

i guess my updates are coming on a weekly basis now..

``I'll make it real simple. I'm a 36-C. In the game, she's a double-D. In the movie, she's a D. We split the difference ... (The movie Lara Croft) is much more athletic, and she has smaller breasts, but she's still Lara Croft, so there.''

-- actress ANGELINA JOLIE, on the cup-size differences between herself, the Lara Croft character she plays in Tomb Raider and the character as she appears in the video game.

Yeah, I saw Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (). It was just as not bad as Mummy Returns. You know summer is here when you are more impressed by how much something didn't suck based on the commercial than if it was an actual good film....

Angelina Jolie made a good Lara Croft but what was with the padded bra she had on? Jolie already has a nice pair (See Gia or Pushing Tin). Couldn't they give a form-fitting one. It was all awkward looking like she had the Cab uniform that red-haird singer wore in The Last Dragon under her tight shirt

...i can't imagine what relationships were like before Instant Messages and e-mails. Still, am I the only one who misses getting a nice letter or card in the mail. E-greetings will never capture that feeling.

...Ummm, can someone explain to me why Kobe wasn't celebrating with his team? What? was he holding all his gripes until after they won? Did he think HE and his 7-22 performance-having ass should have been MVP? Negro please. He is such an ass.

...My host's birthday is coming up soon. He is getting old/

...What does one do when he does not know what he wants t do for a living? Will someone please tell me? e-mail me and let me know.

DVS UPDATE: June's Bitchass of the Month has been posted

WEDNESDAY 6/13

I am now, or am trying to be, of the mentality that there is a reason for interacting with people.

every person who broke your heart or whose heart you broke gave you something that you needed to get to the next chapter of your story...

every person you met that you grew to dislike served the purpose of letting your know that that particular personality trait or, in some cases, combination of personality traits doesn't mesh with your and may cause conflict and will serve as a warning sign in the future...

every relationship that doesn't work out lets you know what you don't need in your life anymore, at that time, or in the future...

everyone who has died has distributed all the gems in their bag before they went. if you didn't get one, there wasn't one for you...

loves, friends, and enemies, i need all of you to make me...

notes:

-mcveigh's dead. now i'm waiting for the timothy mcveigh execution collector's plat offered by franklin mint.

-if you see 3 Mo' Tenors playing in your city. Please go see it. It is an amazing show. It will be on PBS Great Performances. I'll try and find out when and post it (Thank you, Mr. Grice).

-On The Finals:

-how do you leave robert horry open for any three pointers? whoever was defending tyrone lue should have been covering him. tyrone lue needs to STFU too because he's talking shit like he stopped AI from scoring 30 points and had 25 of his own. Score 10+ or shut it and know your role.

-Lakers are gonna win but hopefully all the games will be this interesting.

-Although Shaq is already The Five Deadly Venom Spitters reigning Bitchass of the Month...I would like to add something: Stop lying. You are the most offensively fouling muuhhfukka in the league. You caught Dikembe Mutumbo in the mouth with your elbow. You hop, skip and plow your way to the basket all year and the refs let that shit go.. I understand you are the bigeest guy in the league but everyone deosn't have to lose teeth because of it.

-Speaking of Dikembe Mutumbo, why does he sound like Ludo from Labyrinth all of the sudden? He did not always sound like that. Remember his sneaker commercial back in the day..."Dere iz no air in de howse of Mah-tum-BO"

-One month down, ____ to go. :c)

(from Shakespeare in Love)

Hugh Fennyman: So what do we do?
Phillip Henslowe: Nothing. Strangely enough, it all turns out well.
Hugh Fennyman: How?
Phillip Henslowe: I don't know. It's a mystery.

WEDNESDAY 6/7

i'm not one to dick ride but i love radiohead.

i love everything they are about...

and they aren't about much...

music needs selfish artists like them
just because your last album was a hit don't stop growing to satisfy the fans....
experiment, expand, grow...don't keep doing eighteen versions of the same song everybody likes (ala Aerosmih...and i like them too)
give me something new to love.

that's why r&b will always suck on a grander scale...either it's 50 groups doing the same things at the same time (TRL R&B...everybody's the same til somone has an unexpected different hit...then everybody tries that shit...right now, it's singing on Neptune tracks) or people bringing it back to the "old school" (neo-soul...since when is soul old)

i still wonder if it's too late to be new.

TUESDAY 6/5:

all that matters today...

Site Update: Finally add more stuff I'm listening to...can you find 'em?

DVS Update: Finally...Fuhque has some venom to spit

MONDAY 6/4:

Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong
radiohead

I wrapped you inside my coat
When they came to firebomb the house
I didn't feel pain, 'cause no one can touch me
Now that I'm held in your spell

A beautiful girl
A beautiful girl
Can turn your world into dust

Sell me a car that goes
Sell me a house that stands
I never cared before, I never cared before
I never cared before, before, before, before

A beautiful girl
A beautiful girl
Can turn your world into dust

A beautiful girl
A beautiful girl
Can turn your world into dust

I stood in front of her face
When the first bullet was shot

...ok, now i'll stop...

old thoughts?
new thoughts?
back to the front?
